AJAX – Does It Clean Stuff?

Published 2016-10-13 in AJAX - 0 Comments

Another ITC term which is commonly used is AJAX, and even though it is spelled the same as the household cleaning product it, of course, has nothing to do with it. AJAX is an acronym for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML. If you still do not know what that means, let me explain a bit further.

So, let’s say you want to make a Web application, you will have to use a web programming tool (more precisely, you will have to use a set of tools). These tools make it possible to create an interactive Web application that will be alive and working.
But what does it have to do with AJAX? Well, AJAX is the thing which allows your browser to get the data from the Web page and refresh the whole page, so you won’t have to wait for the page to respond.

Anchor – Let’s Throw That Into The Ocean!

Yes, there is that kind as well, but we are not talking about the huge metal object which is thrown in the water, but rather a coding system which is used when creating Web pages.

An anchor is a way in which you can jump from page to page by clicking on hyperlinks because anchors are the targets for hyperlinks.

And Cache – You Must Have Heard About Cache

The term which sounds like cash, but is far less exciting is used for the information which is stored on your computer and which is used by your Web Browser.

web application

The Web Browser you use keeps making copies of the Web pages you click on, so it can quickly display them for you whenever you go back to them. These folders are usually filed as Temporary Internet Files, and you have surely already come across this term.
