GeneralWhat is gukPhone and how does it work?
gukPhone is a free service that use the newest technology to bring high-quality voice communications to people all over the world WITHOUT the needs of Software installation.
You can call regular phones in various popular destinations for a flat rate or call at an incredible low rate to any other phone arround the world only by using your Browser,
all you need is a connected headset (speaker and microphone), there is NO INSTALLATION OF SOFTWARE REQUIRED.
You can use any SIP device with gukPhone How do I call another user of gukPhone?
You only need to type the username of your friend by the Keyboard, then you can call the user. You can add the called user to your contacts
then you can see when the user is online.
How can I receive calls?
You are reachable with a SIP URI, your address is: username@gukphone.com.
You can also buy a DID inside the gukPhone Shop. When is the connection inside the gukPhone encrypted by SSL?
Your communication is automaticly encrypted as long as your account has more than 10 Euro remaining credit, you can see a lock inside the gukPhone when the communication is encrypted.
 Do I need to install software?
No, the gukPhone use the Flash Player 10 to handle your calls, if you do not have the player installed, it will be installed by the first start of the gukPhone
Are free minutes included for testing?
After registration you can call 60 Minutes to all destinations listed inside the World Package for free
How do the registration work?
After you click the submit button on the registration Form, a email is send to you to activate your account. The Email
include your username, password and a activation Link, after you click on the Link you can access your account and you can start calling.
How do I place calls?
after you log into your account you need to click on the phone button, a new page will open, please take care you disable your popup bloker if you use one,
the Phone will appear and you can start to place a call while entering the phone number you wish to dial to the phone. If you dial to a number which is inside the World Package
you can call 60 minutes for free, for all other destinations please buy credits, otherwise the call can not be established.
Please use always the international Dial form: Country Code + Area Code + Local Number without any 0 or +, a phone number in Argentina Buenos Aires can look like this: 541145689876, a number inside the US 13124443456, you can call the gukPhone Echo Test by dialing 442012345678 (44 = Country Code 20 = Area Code 12345678 = Local Number) I have done the registration but I did not get a email with my login details?

Can a Company register to use gukPhone?
Yes, it is possible for a company to register and use gukPhone. The payment conditions and how the service works is exactly the same as for private customers.
